    Experience:

    This position provides functional guidance to other warehouse associates on day-to-day responsibilities in the distribution center. This job is composed of a variety of specialized tasks that require the frequent exercise of individual judgment to interpret established operating procedures and solve minor problems. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires drug testing.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Assign daily picking documents to other warehouse associates and provide instruction, guidance, and follow-up on their daily work assignments.
    Ensure the accuracy of hand and bulk reserves in accordance with the bin management and reserve sticker systems, reporting any surpluses or shortages to the supervisor.
    Coordinate the introduction of new merchandise into the existing distribution center, and ensure adequate merchandise supply levels at all times.
    Reassign merchandise locations within the distribution center based on space and demand, and designate a section in which high-volume advertisement merchandise will be stocked for easy access and mass-order pickings.
    Maintain adequate supply levels (e.g. shrink wrap, stock transfer boxes, etc.).
    Assist in functional guidance of quarterly and annual inventory counts.
    Observe and promote established safety procedures.
    Special projects as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED).
    Demonstrate basic math proficiency.
    Because the nature of this position entails leading others, one to two years of previous warehouse experience, to include a working knowledge of general warehouse equipment (fork lift, pallet jack, etc.), is preferred.

    Specific responsibilities include:
    Supervise the daily operations of Pet Stylist(s) and Grooming Assistants located in the same store
    Perform basic grooming services including brushing, bathing, and conditioning of animals. May perform cleaning of ears and the trimming of nails. Follow pet parent's instructions or Breed Standards when clipping, stripping or trimming an animals' coat. Complete de-matting and flea dipping as per instructions from pet parents
