- 1997 Abreu Madrona Ranch - Madrona Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon [Rating: WA 100] - $595.00
WA 100 (12/2000): The 1997 boasts an opaque black/purple color as well as a gorgeous bouquet of roasted meats, scorched earth, blackberry, creme de cassis, minerals, and toast. The soaring aromatics are matched by a phenomenally intense, seamless palate, with full-bodied opulence, exquisite purity and symmetry, and a multidimensional finish that lasts for nearly a minute. This wine will be delicious when released next year, and will last for 25-30 years. It is a tour de force in winemaking. - 1999 Abreu Madrona Ranch - Madrona Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon [Rating: WA 93] - $209.00
WA 93 (8/2002): The 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Madrona Ranch (90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Merlot): exhibits a saturated purple color in addition to a gorgeous bouquet of espresso beans intermixed with licorice, incense, blueberries and blackberries. There is more tannin in the unusually austere finish, but the wine is remarkably complex, and should be exceptionally long-lived. There are 500 cases of this beauty, which should be at its finest between 2006-2025. - 2003 Abreu Madrona Ranch - Madrona Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon [Rating: WA 95] - $349.00
WA 95 (12/2006) The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Madrona Ranch is just an amazing wine in the vintage. Notes of smoked meats intermixed with licorice, camphor, graphite, blackberry, and flowers, with a hint of cedar and spice box, have produced a wine that is more up-front and forward than most Abreu wines have been, and gorgeously rich and full-bodied. Last year I thought the wine needed 2-3 years of cellaring, but based on this tasting, I could drink it now or cellar it for 20+ years. - 2003 Abreu Madrona Ranch - Madrona Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon [Rating: WA 95] - $410.00

- 2002 Abreu Thorevilos - Thorevilos Cabernet Sauvignon [Rating: WA 100] - $675.00
WA 100 (12/2005): The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Thorevilos is a monumental wine that is as brilliant as wine can possibly be. The wine has an inky purple color to the rim and an extraordinarily sweet, expansive nose of blueberries, licorice, acacia flowers, and creme de cassis with a hint of sweet oak and licorice. Phenomenal concentration, extraordinary purity, a multi-layered, full-bodied palate, and a magnificent finish of close to a minute are the stuff of legends. This is a profoundly great Cabernet Sauvignon that can be drunk young or cellared for up to two decades or more. This is a prodigious effort from Napas top viticulturalist - a man who has had an enormously positive impact on the quality of the finest wines of Napa Valley. - 2003 Abreu Thorevilos - Thorevilos Cabernet Sauvignon [Rating: WA 98] - $399.00
WA 98 (12/2006): The single-vineyard offering from Thorevilos is usually a blend of 80-85% Cabernet Sauvignon with a good dosage of Cabernet Franc added to finish out the wine, and occasionally a touch of Petit Verdot. This pure, steep hillside vineyard is planted in what they call tufa, or white volcanic ash-based soils. The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Thorevilos is borderline perfection, an unreal wine with notes of crushed rocks, acacia flowers, blueberry pie, and creme de cassis intertwined with a bit of smoke, espresso roast, and chocolate. The wine is phenomenally rich, has great nobility, purity, and a finish that goes on for just over a minute. This is an amazing wine that, like its stable mate the Madrona Ranch, seems to have softened considerably in the last year of bottle age. It can be drunk now or cellared for 20-25+ years. - 2002 Acacia - Chardonnay [Rating: WS 86] - $15.00
WS 86 (5/2004): A delicate, understated, flinty style with lemon-lime, pear and pippin apple scents and light nutmeg-shaded oak nuances, finishing with a clean aftertaste. Drink now through 2007. 41,207 cases made. - 1993 Adelaida San Luis Obispo County - San Luis Obispo County Cabernet Sauvignon [Rating: WS 90 / WA 86] - $90.00
WS 90 (8/1997): Ripe, supple and harmonious, with an intriguing green olive accent to the spicy currant, plum and blackberry flavors. Has a long, lingering aftertaste that keeps gushing flavors. Ready now through 2004. 1,675 cases made.WA 86 (8/1997): I am not totally convinced by the 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon. The color is a healthy, dark saturated plum, and the wine offers up weedy, dill pickle, toasty new oak, smoky aromas, along with ripe blackcurrant fruit. In the mouth, there is good thickness, intensity, and depth, as well as a spicy, rich finish. If the weediness ages into a cedary component, this wine could merit 2-3 more points. In any event, it should last for 10-15 years. - 2004 Alesia Chileno Valley - Chileno Valley Pinot Noir [Rating: WS 86] - $45.00
WS 86 (12/2006): Herb, tea and sage, with a hint of brown sugar. Reveals more fruit complexity on the palate, with dried currant and plum notes, but ends dry, with a cedary edge. Drink now through 2008. 96 cases made. - 2005 Alesia Chileno Valley - Chileno Valley Pinot Noir - $59.00
- 2004 Alesia Chileno Valley - Chileno Valley Syrah [Rating: WS 93] - $45.00
WS 93 (3/2007): Shows fascinating fruit that's dark, rich, vivid and concentrated, with wonderful layers of blueberry, blackberry and boysenberry that are sharply focused, smooth, harmonious and well-structured. The long finish keeps repeating the berry medley, joined by a touch of herbs and spice. Drink now through 2012. 200 cases made. - 2005 Alesia Fairview Ranch Vyd. - Fairview Ranch Vyd. Syrah [Rating: WS 90] - $52.00
WS 90 (2/2008): A stylish wine, mixing taut, spicy, beefy wild berry flavors with fresh earth and pepper. Has ripe, integrated tannins and a long, engaging finish. Drink now through 2012. 300 cases made. - 2005 Alesia Falstaff Road Vyd. - Falstaff Road Vyd. Pinot Noir - $59.00
- 2006 Alesia Falstaff Road Vyd. - Falstaff Road Vyd. Pinot Noir [Rating: WS 87] - $59.00
WS 87 (12/2008): Aromas of black cherry, stewed plum and wild berry offer a ripe, sweetish edge on the palate before firming up on the finish, with a dash of cola. Drink now through 2011. 300 cases made. - 2006 Alesia Green Valley - Green Valley Pinot Noir - $59.00
- 2004 Alesia Kanzler Vyd. Sonoma Coast - Kanzler Vyd. Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir [Rating: WS 91 / IWC 91] - $49.00
WS 91 (11/2006):Spicy raspberry and wild strawberry flavors are bright and vivid, with lively acidity and a cleansing aftertaste. Exquisite balance, with crushed berry flavors reverberating on the finish. Drink now through 2010. 216 cases made.IWC 91 (2/2007): Good full red. Knockout nose combines musky raspberry, mocha, pepper and nutmeg, along with a darker, earthier component. Densely packed and sweet, but with very good de
