    Ruby Carson, 89, Fort Oglethorpe
    Ruby Idell Carson of Fort Oglethorpe died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008 at a local health care center. She was 89.She was a native of Sand Mountain, Ala., where she was a member of Stamp Baptist Church, and lived most of her life in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. She retired in 1970 from Standard Coosa Thatcher with 25 years of service.She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Carson; four brothers, Lionel, Arville, Melvin and Floyd Harris; one sister, Elba Smalley.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Brad Grant of East Ridge, Tenn.; son, Larry Carson of Ringgold; sister, Ila Bell, of Henegar, Ala.; five grandchildren, J.R. Grant, Nick (Michelle) Grant, Jeanna Carson, David Ramsey and Chris Ramsey; one great-grandson, Elijah Gann; several nieces and nephews.Graveside services: Saturday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in McDonald, Tenn., with Rev.     Roy Kenneth Poole of Hixson, Tenn., died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008 at a local hospital. He was 64. He was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., on April 13, 1944 to the late W.L. “Buddy” and Thelma Doss Poole. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School, and served in the United States Air Force, where he was a part of the Strategic Air Command Unit.     David Coulter Trundle of Ringgold died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at his residence. He was 87.He retired from Coca-Cola Co. in Chattanooga, Tenn., and was a member of Ringgold United Methodist Church. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in both the European and Pacific theaters. The son of the late David Anderson and Lillie Belle Coulter Trundle, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Betty Hall Trundle; two sons, Hall (Peggy) Trundle of Chattanooga, Chris (Judy) Trundle of Nashville; six grandchildren, Chris, Tony, John, Andy, Adam, Sara; nephew, Edward Trundle of Atlanta; several great-nieces and nephews.Services: Friday, Dec. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Wallis-Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home in Ringgold, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
